
I have come to learn through my own journey that change is possible especially when we work through our emotional pain. It is holding onto this belief about change that inspires me to continue growing and supporting my most important relationships.

Elana is a Registered Social Worker (RSW), Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT).
Elana earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs from George Washington University in Washington D.C., and pursued a Master’s Degree in Organizational Behavior at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. While teaching, Elana earned certification in Parental Group Counselling at the Adler Institute where she began facilitating parenting groups on site and in Israeli Correctional Facilities.
Elana arrived in Canada to pursue a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from The Adler School of Professional Psychology in Toronto and continued her post-graduate studies in the specialized field of Marriage and Family Therapy.
Elana is an Approved Supervisor and Mentor with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition, she is certified as an Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) for Couples and has become a supervisor as well, supporting other couples therapists master their skills in this well-founded, evidence based method of working with individuals, couples and families.
Elana has worked in a variety of clinical settings and has extensive experience working with couples, adult individuals, adolescents and families. In her clinical work , Elana emphasizes a collaborative approach to therapy and is committed to providing clients with a safe atmosphere whereby their challenges and concerns can be fully heard and contained. Among many issues, Elana deals with marital conflict, anxiety, depression, abusive relationships, infidelity, childhood trauma, parenting issues, separation and divorce, grief and loss, self esteem, sexual identity and substance abuse.
Elana is a native of Argentina and has lived in the States and in Israel for many years. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew.
